Bulge Plot Salinas, CA

Opened 2014

Gabilan still smells like lettuce water if the fog is down.

Bulge Plot began because Ynez Callow was tired of valley players buying an even-looking driver and then climbing off the toe in Spreckels wind.

The first comb was leftover row spacing from a crew that staked Spreckels beds. The first plat was butcher paper. The charter has not changed: row pitch first, recut second, photographs never.

We still will not map a putter face as a courtesy. The beds map drivers. Dust still files the toe while the trunk stays shut overnight. That is the whole story, reinked every August.
